Network Manager and ICT Teacher, Camberley

Hurst Lodge School is looking to recruit an experienced and hands on Network Manager and teacher of Computer Science from September 2020.
Prime objectives: Network Manager 1. To strategically manage the development and maintenance of an efficient ICT infrastructure and technical services; making recommendations to the Senior Leadership Team. 2. To lead on the commission and configuration of ICT systems, networks and equipment; including hardware, peripherals and software and ensure efficient performance and deployment of appropriate support services. 3. To promote effective teaching and learning throughout the school by the efficient deployment of ICT resources and support the school as it continues on its rapid journey to Outstanding. 4. Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. Adhering to the schools and Local Authorities safeguarding procedures.
Prime Objectives: Computer Science Teacher 1. To contribute to curriculum planning and development 2. To participate in the development of new teaching/learning strategies 3. To contribute to the development and organisation of ICT resources 4. To keep accurate records of student assessment and progression as part of our student tracking process 5. To attend meetings of the Department or those related to particular courses 6. To lead one extra-curricular activity related to the ICT Department 7. To undertake continued professional development, both subject and non-subject specific
Person Specification1. Qualified teacher status 2. Experience of teaching up to GCSE, A-Level desirable 3. A thorough grasp of current initiatives in ICT teaching 4. A commitment to teamwork within the ICT department 5. A commitment to the ethos and values of the school 6. A sensitivity to the social/cultural context in which the school operates 7. Tact, a sense of humour and a willingness to work hard 8. The sensitivity and empathy to cater for a range of learning needs 9. A flexible and adaptable team-player 10. Beyond the Classroom All teachers at Hurst Lodge are expected to contribute fully to the extra-curricular and pastoral life of the school. Teachers are expected to liaise with parents, undertake supervision duties and promote the behaviour and House systems.
