College Events Administrator, Crowthorne
Location: Crowthorne RG45 7PU
Working Pattern: Required from 1 September 2019
Closing date: 31 July 2019
A school like no other, Wellington College is one of the world’s leading co-educational boarding and day schools and has an enviable reputation for excellence and innovation. We’re currently looking for an Events Administrator with good office based skills and some hospitality and events experience, to join our College Events team.
The College Events team is responsible for booking and facilitating all College led events, functions and facilities bookings. With over 3,500 bookings to handle and many events to organise each year, the office is a key ‘go to’ department for all function related queries. Join us, and you’ll play a vital role at the heart of our friendly team.
Your challenge will be to provide administrative and hands-on support to the team for our large-scale events across all events software platforms. As a result, you will be regarded as the main administrator and coordinator for the events booking software and database, and will have responsibility for booking all College functions, facilities and events using our event software and website CMS. We’ll also rely on you to help cover box office duties for evening shows in our new theatre. Acting as the first point of call for event booking enquiries, helping to maintain our events related websites and carrying out database work, stationery ordering and stock checks – all are aspects of this interesting and varied role.
Having worked in a similar venue, you’re familiar with the management software involved. You’ve also provided hands-on event support, including set up and de-rigging, involving, at times, very physical manual handling. Comfortable working autonomously, as well as part of team, you have strong problem solving skills, the ability to multi-task and a professional and approachable manner. You also have meticulous attention to detail and are well-organised and methodical enough to meet challenging deadlines. The role is predominantly office/desk based, but occasional additional hours are required during busy periods to support various events that can fall outside of normal office hours.
Not only is this an excellent career development opportunity, it also comes with a generous salary and benefits package. So, if you are committed to contributing towards the College community and keen to continue to develop professionally, apply today.
Closing date: 6pm, Wednesday 31 July 2019
