The Trust consists of three thriving village schools; Bisham, Knowl Hill and White Waltham, who work all closely in collaboration with each other for planning, assessment and CPD. Our staff are enthusiastic, hard-working, happy schools with well-behaved pupils who have a real thirst for learning.
We are seeking to appoint an assistant to our Special Education Needs Co-ordinator. Ideally four mornings a week but we have flexibility on this. This position would involve helping to improve teaching and learning for SEND pupils throughout the school. You will help provide support, advice, encouragement and challenge to promote self-esteem, academic success and help remove barriers to learning.
If you would like to take up this key role in our school community, you will need to be: • Passionate about helping all children reach their full potential. • Able to empower all staff with the knowledge of how to help children no matter what their difficulty is. • A good communicator, approachable to parents, staff and pupils alike.
The role will involve: • Liaising with parents/colleagues/children. • Interventions with children. • Maintaining provision maps. • Playing an active role in the school pastoral team.
What do we want?: • A highly motivated professional with a passion for helping every child be the best they can. • A partner who can work effectively, independently and as part of a team. • A proactive colleague with good organisation and IT skills.
We can offer you: • The certainty that you will make a difference to the lives of children in our communities. • A dedicated and supportive staff who support each other. • The opportunity to work with fantastic, well-behaved children who have a desire to learn. • A positive, caring and forward thinking atmosphere. • An active role in contributing to the shared vision of the Trust. • Excellent resources and facilities.
SEN experience is required, SENCo qualification desirable.
