We are ideally situated, only minutes from the M4 at Junction 5 and the M25, and with excellent rail links to Central London. If you chose to live here, renting is cheaper than in Central London, yet you are in town quickly. Windsor, Marlow or Henley are close and if you enjoy weekend travelling it takes about 15 min to Heathrow. We border Buckinghamshire, with no less than 100,000 acres which are designated Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty - including a substantial part of the magnificently wooded Chiltern Hills. Whether you are into the outdoors or want to be close to London, working here is ideal.
We are looking for an EAL & Interventions Co-ordinator who ideally has an NVQ2 for Teaching Assistant or equivalent qualification and is trained in literacy and numeracy. You should have experience in working with young people who have English as an additional language and have a GCSE (or equivalent) in Maths and English.
You should have experience in differentiation of work, personalised learning programmes as well as keeping and evaluation of records. You need to be confident in supporting teaching colleagues with lesson planning, and giving EAL advice as well as contacting parents to discuss students’ progress. You need to be able to demonstrate that you are efficient, organised and committed to promoting multi-cultural awareness.
