Description:

Addington School is an ‘Outstanding’ forward looking all-age special school catering for pupils with a wide range of learning disabilities, many of whom also have associated sensory, motor, medical and behavioural needs.

We are also looking to appoint a Work Experience Manager. As part of the Addington ‘Routes to Work’ department, you will join a dynamic and enthusiastic team who are continuously working to provide our students with a variety of curriculum opportunities to best prepare them for working life after school. We have developed a range of forward thinking ‘Routes into Work’ including; Supported Internships at the National Grid, Employer recognised qualifications and a wide range of work experience placements. We work with a range of local and national employers to offer our students many exciting, inclusive opportunities.

We are looking to appoint someone who will work mainly with our 14–19 year old students, a wide range of employers and other associated agencies. We therefore require someone who is positive, highly organised, a team player and has excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

We are committed to induction, professional development and on-going support for all our staff. Working as part of a small team you will be required to: work with students in 1:1, small groups and whole class groups and work with our large network of employers, supporting and setting up a range of work opportunities for our students.

You will need to have a full UK driving licence and hold business insurance.

It is essential that you have a good standard of education, including a Level 3 qualification or equivalent. You need to be willing to undertake further training including: Job Coaching, City and Guilds Assessor, Training in Systematic Instruction.
