Teacher of Religious Education

We are seeking to appoint an inspirational and enthusiastic teacher of Religious Education to join our 3 specialised teachers, who all work together sharing resources within this successful department. Religious Education is contained within its own block with four individual classrooms and enjoys a strong reputation within the school and examination results are consistently good at both Key Stage 4 and Key Stage 5. Students start GCSE Full Course at the beginning of Year 9 and Religious Studies is a popular choice at A Level. Many of our students have gone on to study Philosophy or Theology at University. The position would be suitable for either an NQT or an experienced teacher and would be teaching Key Stages 3 and 4, for the right applicant Key Stage 5 would be possible.
The person we are seeking will:
• be passionate about Religious Education and be able to bring energy, enthusiasm and new ideas
• be an innovative and inspiring classroom teacher
• be able to work collaboratively in a large and diverse team
• have a desire to play a significant role in the further development of the Religious Education Department.
