A really exciting challenge for a well-qualified and inspiring person to take on the role of Science Teacher at Aldro. The Science department is very successful in sending boys into senior schools with a passion for the subject, which then often leads them into studying Science at university. Boys often apply for academic scholarships to leading senior schools.
Aldro is also committed to breadth of education and excellent results are achieved in sport, music, drama and chess. Amongst our scholarship successes are awards for art, music, sport and all-rounder awards. Many other activities are available for boys to pursue.
Aldro has a Christian foundation and an attractive Chapel is amongst the excellent facilities available. Further details about the school can be found on our website.
Science is an important part of the academic curriculum and whilst the younger boys (Years 3-5) are taught general science lessons, from Year 6 the boys have separate lessons for Biology, Chemistry and Physics. The school offers excellent career progression, mentoring and opportunity to develop your interests and immerse yourself into the wider curriculum and become part of the Aldro family.
We invite applications from existing teachers with a specialist knowledge of Science. Ideal candidate will have QTS. We look for individuals who will inspire and nurture the love of the subject within the School.
