Courthouse Junior School

Courthouse is a very successful, highly respected, larger than average junior school.

What makes Courthouse such a rewarding place to work though, are the pupils, and we put all our effort into nurturing each one so that they get the best preparation for their future learning and place in society. We are rewarded by the feedback we get from secondary schools, who say they can recognise Courthouse pupils from the way they take to the next stage of their education \'like ducks to water\', well able to cope with getting around a large campus, having a number of different teachers and tackling their homework and homework diaries in an accomplished fashion.

We are fortunate indeed, to also have the support of pupils\' families, who are as much a part of this process as we are. A successful partnership between home and school is one reason many children do particularly well during their time with us and we are always looking for further ways to engage with parents.

Pupils leave Courthouse full of confidence and pride in themselves and their achievements. We put as many opportunities before them as we are able during their time with us. By Year 6, whether they are Prefects, Peer Mediators, Buddies, or have other roles around the school such as telephone duties or assisting with the audio-visual equipment in assemblies, they will be given the responsibility to contribute to the smooth running of the school. They do of course, rise to these occasions and make us all proud!
