The Emmbrook School is a co-educational comprehensive school located in Emmbrook, Wokingham, Berkshire, England, for students between 11 and 18 years of age. There are 1,138 students at the school, with nearly 200 in the Sixth Form.
The Emmbrook is a special school in mathematics and computing, the director of specialist schools status is Jane Lant.
In February 2007 the school was inspected by Ofsted. They rated The Emmbrook as \\\"satisfactory\\\", though they recognised the school as improving.
The Emmbrook has had a reorganisation from a horizontal (year group) to a vertical (college) pastoral system. Final approval from the Governing Body was given. The changes included:
- heads of college replacing the current year coordinators
- creation of 4 academic monitoring posts
- tutor groups of 25 students, 5 from each age group
- reorganisation of the school day
Students represent their colleges in sporting events, including football, cricket, netball, rugby and rounders, as well as during sports day. Other competitions contribute points to the house competition, including dance, music and the merits collected by key stage three pupils.
