Not all children within a class group are able to cope with new concepts at the same time or develop new skills at the same speed, so we adopt a differentaited approach to learning. A variety of teaching styles are used including whole class teaching, mixed or similar ability groups, small group work and one to one teaching. We also recognise that not all children learn in the same way; we therefore use a wide variety of teaching and learning styles when we teach.
Lowbrook consists of a large central hall around which are the teaching areas, each with a door leading to the grounds. The school is on one level with no steps or stairs, with a wide entrance doors for wheelchair access. We have a purpose built craft area with a kiln and kitchen equipment; a large, well stocked Library, and a dedicated Information and Communication Technology (ICT) area. The school has a further network of computers spread out among the classrooms and each classroom is equiped with an interactive whiteboard and laptop computer. Audio-visual equipment and musical instruments are used throughout the school.
Our extensive grounds provide us with the children\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\'s playground and equipment, adventure fun run, football and tag rugby pitches, netball courts, an amphitheatre and a large playing field. The wildlife area and many trees and shrubs add to the school\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\'s atmosphere of tranquility and welcome.
\\\\\\\"Lowbrook is a progressive school of excellence where all staff, children and parents take pride in their school. At Lowbrook we believe every child can exceed their perceived potential. The curriculum is broad and the social development of children is central to our ethos. At Lowbrook we put the children at the centre of everything we do.\\\\\\\" – Mr Rooney, Headteacher
