Manor Green School

Manor Green School is a residential special school for up to 150 pupils
(24 residents) with an increasing severity of diverse learning difficulties, aged 2-19 yrs. We have relocated to new, purpose built accommodation.
The new school is set within its own grounds, with extensive facilities spacious and a full service 24 bed residential provision. All pupils have moderate, severe or profound learning difficulties and many have
additional needs.

The needs of the individual child are the greatest consideration and in order to offer a needs-led curriculum we are well equiped with material and human resources.

The class sizes are clearly considerably smaller than in the mainstream sector, in addition they have a high level of specialist support assistants in each class. We endeavour to offer a curriculum that is broad, balanced and relevant to all pupils.

The school is set in 9 acres of grounds that originally belonged to the Manor House. This still proudly dominates the site but over the years a number of extra buildings have been added.

There is a focus towards mainstream inclusion for our more able pupils. The school adopts a multi-agency approach to the education of all its pupils ensuring that we consider the needs of the whole person.
